Please note:
The hourly rate at Tulip Montessori is above the maximum hourly rate covered by the Dutch childcare allowance (kinderopvangtoeslag). This means that parents may not receive the full government reimbursement.

What is included in the fee?
Our fee includes:
  • A Montessori-inspired daycare program in a carefully prepared environment
  • Small group size with individual attention for each child
  • Use of Montessori materials and age-appropriate activities
  • Daily routines that support independence, social skills, and emotional development
  • Breakfast, lunch, and healthy snacks
  • Regular communication with parents about the child’s well-being and development

Government support (kinderopvangtoeslag)
Parents may be eligible for Dutch childcare allowance (kinderopvangtoeslag) from the government.
The amount you receive depends on your personal situation (such as income, working hours, and household composition) and on the official maximum hourly rate set by the government.
Because Tulip Montessori’s hourly rate is above this maximum, a part of the fee will be at your own expense.
For detailed and up-to-date information, parents are advised to check the official Dutch tax authority website or consult their financial advisor.

How to apply for childcare allowance (kinderopvangtoeslag)
If you are eligible, you can apply for Dutch childcare allowance (kinderopvangtoeslag) through the Dutch Tax Office (Belastingdienst).
  1. Check if you are eligible
    • You and/or your partner work, study, or follow an integration course.
    • Your child is registered at your home address in the Netherlands.
    • Your child attends registered childcare (with an LRK number).
  2. Collect the necessary information
    You will need, for example:
    • Your BSN (citizen service number) and your child’s BSN
    • Your estimated annual income (and your partner’s, if applicable)
    • The LRK number of Tulip Montessori Daycare
    • The expected number of childcare hours per month and the hourly rate
  3. Submit your application online
    • You can apply for childcare allowance via the Belastingdienst/Toeslagen website using your DigiD.
    • Make sure you apply within 3 months after the month in which childcare starts; otherwise, you may lose the right to part of the allowance.
  4. Check and update your details
    • If your income, working hours, or childcare hours change, you must update this in your allowance account.
    • This helps prevent having to repay money later.
